Why I joined RocketX: Panos Vogiatzis

This summer, Panos joined the RocketX team in Athens as a Talent Manager. Time to look back at his first months on board. In this interview he will tell you all about his experience, journey and challenges so far.
A fun and inclusive culture
The reason Panos joined RocketX was due to its entrepreneurial spirit. “Because every opinion is heard, every single employee has the chance to significantly contribute to the expansion of the company.” The inclusive and fun culture also played a big role. “The basis lies in great team spirit and mutual respect. But also the music in the office, Friday drinks and team bonding activities are only some examples of what makes RocketX a great place to work and thrive.”
Building his own career
As a Talent Manager, Panos is responsible for the recruitment and HR development of the Athens office. He loves to see the daily energy of the team. “Seeing happy, energetic and motivated colleagues boosts my own energy as well. One of the most exciting - but also challenging - parts of my role is creating a high-performing and inclusive culture within the Athens team, that reflects the core values of RocketX and at the same time has its own identity.”
In his role, he is given a lot of responsibility and freedom. This means setting up and taking the lead on new initiatives projects. “This gives me the opportunity to develop quickly. I’m gathering a lot of new knowledge and learning new skills.”
RocketX as an employer of choice
Our Athens office opened in March of this year. In just a few months, they outgrew their shared office space and moved into their own brand-new office in the city centre of Athens.
Since opening, the team has already grown to 25 people. “We started with building a team of Talent Business Partners to help our clients attract and hire the right talent. But our ambitions didn’t stop there. Now we are building a team with Engineers to support both our clients and internal projects."
The Athens team is still growing rapidly. "We are looking for team players with an entrepreneurial mindset. You should have the drive to form your own career path in an open and transparent environment where all ideas are being heard and respected.” Panos his personal goal? Make RocketX a company where employees and candidates aspire to work!
